Onda de protestos contra reformas / Strikes and protests against changes

Voces devem estar acompanhando as manifestacoes e paralisacoes na Franca, neh? Aqui tambem tivemos greve dos trabalhadores da malha ferroviaria na segunda e terca. Num pais como este, em que muitas pessoas moram em uma cidade e vao trabalhar em outra de trem todos os dias, o prejuizo eh enorme.
Motivo das paralisacoes? Todos estao contra as reformas que os governos europeus querem fazer. E convenhamos, eles precisam fazer! Eh claro que cortar "na carne" nunca eh interessante, principalmente quando envolve beneficios e aposentadorias. Claro que doi, mas mudar eh preciso. Nesse caso os protestantes precisam parar de pensar um pouco em seu proprio umbigo e ter senso de coletividade (a gente no Brasil acha que soh nos somos individualistas, mas acho que eh inerente ao ser humano o egocentrismo quando achamos que estamos sendo prejudicados).
Analisando racionalmente a situacao voce tem inumeros paises europeus com crescimento populacional praticamente nulo, com populacao envelhecida. Alem disso, pessoas com 60 anos hoje sao "jovens", sadias e normalmente continuam trabalhando (mesmo que reduzam gradualmente a carga de trabalho). Entao, logicamente, voce tem que aumentar a idade minima de aposentadoria. A massa trabalhadora nao eh capaz de sustentar mais o welfare state. Ateh o Brasil jah fez essas reformas, por que eles nao podem? (reforma na idade minima de aposentadoria. Porque tambem precisamos fazer varias reformas, mas... eh outro assunto!).
Porque eles nao estao acostumados a reformas e sacrificios. Que crise s'eria e duradoura a Europa sofreu apos a Segunda Guerra Mundial? Nenhuma... ateh agora! E agora eh hora de mudar, aprender com paises como o Brasil, expert em crises. Eh muito bonito quando voce pode impor regras a paises em desenvolvimento como moeda de troca para emprestimos, mas eh um absurdo quando voce tem que adotar as mesmas medidas em sua casa?

You might be following the strikes and protests that are happening in France and around Europe.Here we had strikes in the railways monday and tuesday. Considering that a lot of people in this country live in a city and work in another, using the train as main transport, that's a big deal.
Why all this protests are happening? Because of the changes that the european governments want to do. And they need to do! Of couse, cutting in your own flesh is never good, mainly when it involves cutting benefis and retirement plans. Of couse it hurts, but the change is needed. In these cases, the strikers should stop thinking only about themselves and think about the greater good of their society (we think that only Brazilians are selfish, but i think it's inherent to the human being to only think about ourselves when we feel that we are being neglected advantages).
Rationally, the truth is that a lot of the european countries have almost no population growth and their population is getting older and older. Besides, people in theis 60's nowadays are healthy, "young" and they usually keep working (although gradually descreasing their working load). So, logically, you have to increase the minimun age for retirement. The population considered economically active is not able to sustain the welfare state. Even we in Brazil have already done this changes, why cant they?
What major crisis has Europe gone through after the second world war? None... so far! And now is time to change and learn with countries like Brazil, that are expert in crisis. It's very nice when you have to tell other countries how to behave, to impose strict rules so you can lend them some money, but it's an absurd when you have to adopt the same measures in your own home/country?
